This section of The Blog is aimed at encouraging independent filmmakers by demonstrating that you do not need vast amounts of technology, or background screens or experts in post editing. If you have the ability and the money and the studio space, go ahead and use it. But the point is you do not have to.
Take a look at some of the films on this part of the Blog to see how, at little or no cost staggering films were made. I will start off with two French masterpieces: Le Ballon Rouge by Albert Lamorisse (The Red Balloon) and La Belle et La Bete (Beauty and the Beast) from Jean Cocteau, both identified and reflected on in June 2018.
